Beyond technical claims, the re-release is said to include a new mission called Last Rites, described as a “darker, more oppressive” take on the game’s Bolivia setting. Push Square relays a press release summarising improvements such as “smoother combat, improved distance rendering, enhanced lighting and shadows, and a sharper image targeting 4K resolution.”
Other reported additions include deep customisation of gameplay, difficulty, environment and UI parameters — options to tweak enemy behaviour, damage values, weapon restrictions, friendly fire, weather and HUD elements. The Predator event and a returning extraterrestrial threat are also mentioned as part of the re-release content.
