Most Anticipated Games For The Nintendo Switch

Nintendo has always been known for having some amazing exclusives, and since the release of the Switch, amazing games were released, like Breath Of The Wild, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate,  Paper Mario: The Origami King, and many more. The year 2021 was a good year for the Nintendo Switch and some pretty anticipated games were released, like Metroid Dread, and Monster Hunter Rise. However, fans cannot wait for 2022, since Nintendo has announced that some amazing games will be released that year. And in this article, you will see some of the most anticipated games that are coming for the Switch.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus

First off, for the fans of the Pokemon franchise, Nintendo is releasing a brand new game, that looks and plays differently from every other game of the series. The game has an over-the-shoulder camera, and players will be able to walk across this open world, and will even be able to ride your Pokemon to be able to move faster. You will encounter Pokemon while walking through the wild, and it seems that you will be able to capture some of them without having to battle. There will be two types of combat, the one most fans are used to, where you get to choose your Pokemon moves, and the other is going to be where you can freely walk around, while your Pokemon helps you automatically.

While a lot o fans are looking forward to the game, they are also worried that that game feels unfinished, and that the open world looks empty and bland, so many hope that the game the game looks better when it comes out, or that it gets delayed, giving the company more time to polish the game. Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set to release on January 28, 2022.

Triangle Strategy

If you’re into JRPG games, and you loved playing Octopath Traveler, then you will love Triangle Strategy. The game is being developed by Square Enix, and they never fail to deliver amazing RPG games. A demo for the game was released, and changes were made thanks to the feedback they received, so we can expect the game to be extremely polished. Although the game looks similar to Octopath Traveler, Triangle Strategy is a brand new game, with a totally different story. The game is going to be released on March 4, 2022.

Kirby The Forgotten Land

Kirby is finally back, and now it seems that his journey will take him to a post-apocalyptic world. The game looks beautiful, and in the trailer, we got to see the scenery of the game, some of its adorable enemies, and some of Kirby’s transformations. This will be the first 3D action game in the main series of the game, so a fun 3D platform game is to be expected, and it is always good news to know that Kirby is getting a brand new game. Kirby The Forgotten Land was announced in the Nintendo Direct, and it is planned to release in the Spring of 2022.

Bayonetta 3

After four long years since it was announced, in September of 2021, we finally got to see what Bayonetta 3 looks like, and some of its gameplay. The game looks amazing, and we will finally get to play as our favorite witch Cereza. Bayonetta 2 was released back in 2014, so fans were looking forward to finally getting a new game. Bayonetta 3 is going to be released sometime in 2022, and until then, we can expect to get more information about the game, and even more trailers. The combat looks amazing as to be expected, and it seems that it will be crazier than ever, Cereza seems to have more deadly demons that she can summon, and this time, it seems that enemies are some kind of aliens instead of angels.

Splatoon 3

Splatoon is the third-person shooter game from Nintendo, and since the first one was released, fans love the game. The gameplay in Splatoon 3 is similar to its predecessors, where players get to choose between playing as an inkling, or a octolings. The game will offer a single-player campaign and a multiplayer one. If you’re not familiar with the concept of the game, in the online mode Turf War, two teams of four players compete against each other to try and cover the map with their respective ink colors. You can equip your character with different types of weapons, and you can also damage your opponents so that you can stop them from painting.

The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2

And finally, probably the most anticipated game of all, the sequel to Breath Of The Wild. First teased with a cinematic trailer back in 2019, and two years later, at E3 2021, we finally got to see some gameplay, and the game looks fantastic. The game will take place in the same world, and it is amazing to see a Zelda game get a direct sequel. While the world is the same, some new mechanics were showcased in the trailer, and the big revelation of the sequel is that the game will also take place in the sky. Many pointed out the similarity between Skyward Sword since the game also had a mechanic that took place in the sky.

There isn’t much information about the story, but it seems that the true form of Ganon has been unsealed, and princess Zelda might’ve been captured by him. Link is now equipped with a mysterious arm that grants him some new abilities, and we can expect to see some familiar faces again, like Sidon from the Zora, and many other characters from the first game.

Overall

2022 is going to be a strong year for Nintendo, and these are just some of the planned releases for that year. So if you have a Switch, or you’re planning to buy one, then this is the best time to do that. You will have plenty of games to play, and even more in the near future.
