We’ve been watching the build-up to the Summer Game Fest showcase closely, and a fresh leak has just raised the temperature on Star Wars Zero Company. Per VGC, an insider has reportedly revealed a concrete release date and pricing details ahead of the game's planned world gameplay premiere at Summer Game Fest.

What Was Reported

Per VGC, a Dealabs insider known as billbil-kun has allegedly leaked that Star Wars Zero Company will release on August 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The leak reportedly includes edition and pricing information: a Standard Edition said to be priced at $49.99 on PC and $59.99 on consoles, and a digital-only Deluxe Edition allegedly priced at $59.99 on PC and $69.99 on consoles. There is also said to be an option to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for those buying a physical Standard Edition.

Billbil-kun reportedly does not yet know what the Deluxe Edition contains, and has allegedly confirmed there will be no early access for the game. Per VGC, this information surfaced before the official world gameplay premiere which the Summer Game Fest account on X announced will air during the main Summer Game Fest showcase on Friday.

What The Game Is

When it was first announced at Star Wars Celebration in April 2025, Star Wars Zero Company was described as a single-player turn-based strategy game developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment, with EA on publishing duties. The title was marketed as “a gritty and authentic story” set during the twilight of the Clone Wars, placing players in the role of Hawks, a former Republic officer who commands an elite squad of operatives from across the galaxy.

Per the game’s description, players will conduct tactical operations and investigations across the galaxy, develop a base of operations, gather intelligence through a network of informants, and recruit and customize their own squad while getting to know newly authored Star Wars characters.

The Source & Credibility

The release and pricing details were tweeted by billbil-kun and reported by VGC. VGC describes billbil-kun as a Dealabs writer “with a lengthy track record of accurately revealing upcoming software and hardware information,” which is presented as the basis for labeling the leak reliable.

Take this with a pinch of salt: while billbil-kun has been right before, the details are still unconfirmed by Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment or EA. The Summer Game Fest gameplay premiere is scheduled to air during the main showcase, and that event may confirm or contradict these claims. For now, the date, edition contents and prices remain alleged leak details reported by VGC.

What It Could Mean

If the leak is true, Star Wars Zero Company arriving on August 27 would put the game squarely in front of many players as it attempts to join the crowded slate of releases around major showcase windows. The reported pricing — a lower Standard price on PC and a higher console Standard price, plus a more expensive digital Deluxe — paints a picture of how the publisher may be positioning the game across platforms, if accurate.

Gameplay-wise, the description we already have suggests a campaign of tactical missions, base management and intelligence gathering, with squad customisation and newly authored characters forming the narrative core. If the leak’s release timing is correct, the upcoming Summer Game Fest gameplay premiere will be a decisive moment to judge how well the game’s systems and story are being presented.

For fans of turn-based strategy and Star Wars narrative experiments alike, the combination of a focused single-player campaign and tactical mechanics could be intriguing — again, if true.

Why This Matters

This leak matters because it gives us a potential date and commercial positioning for a game that was first unveiled at Star Wars Celebration in April 2025 and described as a gritty, squad-focused strategy experience. Per VGC and the reported billbil-kun leak, players now have alleged pricing, edition structure and a firm release window to watch for — and the official Summer Game Fest gameplay premiere may confirm or refute those claims.

We’ll be watching the Summer Game Fest showcase closely. If the leak proves accurate, we could be facing a new single-player Star Wars strategy release very soon — but until Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment or EA confirm, all of this should be treated as alleged and taken with a pinch of salt.
