GEARS OF WAR 4 WILL BE A 60FPS GRAPHICAL SHOWCASE FOR THE XBOX ONE ACCORDING TO THE STUDIO HEAD

alking to Tom Stone on the last issue of Official Xbox Magazine US, the Studio Head of Gears of War 4, Rod Fergusson (Gears of War trilogy and Bioshock Infinite), gave some information about the game developed by The Coalition. Fergusson said that one of the team’s target is to give to fans the essence of previous Gears of War titles, adding some fresh elements to the franchise. Concerning the graphical aspects of the fourth chapter, the Studio Head said something about the framerate:

“Delivering [with Ultimate Edition] the first 60fps multiplayer experience in franchise history really taught us a lot about what it means to have a 60fps culture on the team and we’re leveraging that experience for Gears of War 4.”

Furthermore, looking at the results given by Halo 5: Guardians on Xbox One, Fergusson expressed his intention to show the best graphics possible for the Microsoft’s console:

“Like how the original Gears of War was a visual showcase for the Xbox 360, Gears of War 4 will be a graphical showcase for the Xbox One.”

This isn’t impossibile to do, if we think that, in addition to Halo 5, also Forza 6 runs at 60fps with no problems. Gears of War 4 is coming to Xbox One later this year.
